Charles doesn’t have time to have this fight with you again, Erik, he’s late for class and unimpressed with your attitude.
Oh, man, that’s the face/expression that makes Erik want to HIT THINGS.
It’s true. Just in case Erik forgot, even for a moment, that Charles is unimaginably wealthy and smug and arrogant and unyielding and insufferable. It’s the expression that makes Erik doubt that this is ever going to work at all because he looks at Charles’ face like that and wants to shout and shake him and has to scramble to remember anything worth liking about Charles.
(He does, though, eventually remember. One thing and then two and then a dozen, a hundred, a thousand things about Charles that make his blood boil in a different way altogether.)
If I Was a Superhero: I have this scene in my head where Raven and Charles meet in person…
I have this scene in my head where Raven and Charles meet in person for the first time after Cuba, and they are fighting about stuff and Charles has little Kurt on his lap because Kurt is the type of child who loves every new person he meets right away, even though he doesn’t see many new faces.
OUCH.
And yet I actually would like to see this. Specifically, baby!Kurt half-accidentally steers Mommy and Uncle Charles toward some sort of reconciliation. ;_;
Baby!Kurt recognises Charles despite never having met him, which makes Charles realise Raven has been showing her child his uncle’s face. “This is your uncle Charles. He’d like you very much.”
